Add Q&A pairs
Create a concise, canonical question-and-answer source for a policy, correction, or repeated customer question.
Open Sources → Content and select Q&A when one exact answer matters more than a whole document. Q&A pairs are useful for a current policy, a narrow exception, or a correction that should be retrieved without relying on a crawl.
Create a pair
Enter a non-empty Question and Answer, then select Add Q&A. The pair is embedded as it is created, so it can be used immediately after a successful save. Write the question in a customer’s natural language and make the answer complete enough to stand alone. Do not create several slightly different pairs that disagree on the same rule.
Test wording and boundaries
Open Playground and ask the stored question, then a paraphrase. The goal is not merely to reproduce your wording; the agent should find the same policy when a customer asks naturally. If the answer is correct but the tone is wrong, adjust the system prompt instead of adding another Q&A pair with stylistic instructions.
Edit or remove a pair
Use the list controls to edit, re-embed, or delete a pair. Editing and re-embedding refresh the knowledge for the revised text. Deleting permanently removes the pair and its embeddings, so confirm that another source contains the policy before removing the only authoritative copy.
Q&A pairs are not refreshed by the retrain worker because they are indexed when you create or edit them. Review them whenever the underlying policy changes. For long-form material, use files, website crawls, or Notion sources.
