Actions
Give your agent controlled capabilities for gathering information, using connected services, and handing conversations to people.
Actions let an agent do more than answer from its instructions and sources. On your agent's Actions page, you can enable the built-in capabilities that fit the job of your agent. You can also configure the inputs or connections for each capability. You can review recent executions on the same page. The page also summarizes total executions, successful runs, and errors. An enabled action becomes available to the agent during a conversation. If you disable the action, the agent loses that capability, but its saved configuration stays.
The page contains cards for Lead Collection, Web Search, Stripe, Calendly, Cal.com, and four custom actions. Each card shows its status and has Configure. All custom actions together have a limit of ten per agent. Copy to another agent does not copy credentials. Before you rely on the copy, check the connections and settings of the destination agent. The separate Human Handoff card configures email or Inbox escalation. Slack is a supported runtime action. It does not have a normal card or configuration form on this page yet.
Use actions deliberately. Keep only the capabilities that an agent needs. Test each capability with representative questions. Check the Logs tab after you change a connection or a configuration. Before you enable an action that can affect another system, see approvals and risk.
