Languages and translations

Set a Help Center’s default language and configure optional automatic translation target languages.

Help Center settings let you choose a default language and optionally enable automatic translations to selected target languages. The default language is the source language for the knowledge base; do not include it again in the targets. Translation uses the configured translation model and is a content workflow, not a guarantee that every technical or legal statement is correct in another language.

Article translation status is visible in the editor. When source content changes, existing translations can become stale and should be reviewed before relying on them. Use the relevant language version as an editorial starting point, then have a qualified reviewer check terminology, product names, links, formatting, and culturally appropriate support guidance.

Keep the Help Center’s language strategy focused. Add target languages that your support team can maintain, and ensure customer-facing policies are reviewed in each language. Translation settings require Help Center write access; publication still follows the site and article publication controls rather than automatically exposing unfinished translated work.
