Articles and collections

Organize Help Center content into collections and create draft or published articles with stable slugs.

Use Articles to create collections and articles for a Help Center. Collections can be nested, ordered, renamed, moved, and deleted, giving readers a structured browse path. An article has a title, slug, description, collection, position, body, and publication status. Start in draft while content is being reviewed, then publish only when it is ready for visitors.

Slugs are normalized as you edit them and must stay unique within the site. Choose stable, descriptive names because changing a published slug changes the public path. The article list shows draft and published status so an editor can distinguish work in progress from customer-facing content. Creating or editing needs Help Center write permission; publishing and deletion are guarded separately.

Keep a collection focused on a reader task, not an internal team structure. Use clear titles, order articles deliberately, and inspect the public rendering before publishing. Deleting a collection or article is an operational change, so check child content and links before confirming it.
