Voice Calls

Enable real-time browser voice calls, choose a provider and safety settings, and test with normal credit usage.

Voice Calls adds real-time calls to the web widget. Its configuration includes:

  • A supported speech-to-speech provider
  • A maximum call duration, from one to sixty minutes
  • Automatic language detection, or one of the supported languages
  • An optional voice-specific system prompt

The system prompt has its own length limit. Keep it focused on the call experience. Do not repeat the full agent configuration in it.

The page also offers recording, an optional recording notice, and identity verification. If you turn on identity verification but the agent has no identity-verification setup, the system blocks all callers. Confirm that the agent has this setup before you turn on the control. Voice calls also follow public access, allowed-domain, geographic, and rate-limit checks.

Test Call starts a real, temporary playground call. It is not a simulation, and it uses normal credits.

The system pre-authorizes credits for the call and finalizes unused time after the call ends. Keep test calls brief.

Voice Calls is different from Help Page voice-to-text. Voice-to-text transcribes from the microphone. It is not a live call.

Review voice sessions before you turn on recordings.
