Voice Calls
Enable real-time browser voice calls, choose a provider and safety settings, and test with normal credit usage.
Voice Calls enables real-time calls in the web widget. In its configuration, choose a supported speech-to-speech provider, set a maximum duration from one to sixty minutes, choose automatic language detection or one of the supported languages, and add an optional voice-specific system prompt. The prompt has its own length limit, so keep it focused on the call experience rather than duplicating the entire agent configuration.
The page offers recording, an optional recording notice, and identity verification. If you require identity verification while the agent itself has no identity-verification setup, all callers are blocked; confirm that integration before enabling the control. Voice calls also honor public access, allowed-domain, geographic, and rate-limit checks.
Test Call is a real, temporary playground call and consumes normal credits. It is not a simulation. Calls pre-authorize credits and unused time is finalized afterward, but you should still use brief tests. Voice Calls are different from Help Page voice-to-text: the latter is microphone transcription, not a live call. Review voice sessions before turning on recordings.
