Organization settings
Update workspace identity, logo, translation settings, ownership, and deletion safely.
Open Dashboard → Organization settings to manage the workspace itself. Administrators and owners can do these tasks:
- Update the organization name and slug.
- Upload, replace, or remove the organization logo.
- Configure the company identity for the customer-facing footer.
- Select the Help Desk translation language.
- Copy the organization ID.
- Require two-factor authentication for owners and administrators (owner only).
A slug can have 3 to 50 characters. It can have lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens. The first and last character must be a letter or a number, not a hyphen. A slug change redirects the current session to the new workspace URL. A member who later opens a link with the previous slug is redirected to the new one. Only the most recent previous slug redirects.
The Logo card sets the logo that the organization switcher shows. Upload a JPEG, PNG, WebP, or GIF image up to 4 MB; AgentStack crops it to a square from the centre. The change takes effect at once, without a save. Every member sees the logo, but only owners and administrators see the upload and remove buttons.
Some slugs are reserved, because the product uses them in its own addresses: admin, api, settings, new, invite, w, dashboard, null, undefined, workspace, org, and organization. The match for these names is exact, so api-team is accepted and api is not. Any slug that starts with personal- is also reserved, because AgentStack uses that prefix for the personal workspace it creates automatically. A workspace that already has a personal- slug can keep it. The settings form does not check the reserved list as you type. The save fails with "This slug is reserved". A slug already used by another workspace fails with "Slug is already taken". Pick a different slug in both cases.
The legal name and address form one pair. If you need a custom footer, provide both the legal name and the address. If you do not provide both, the product uses its default address.
Help Desk translation needs Inbox access. Select the language for translation. Make sure that the workspace plan includes Inbox. The product uses this same language for both directions: translating incoming customer messages for teammates, and translating teammate replies for widget customers.
The Security card holds Require 2FA for owners and admins. Only an owner can change it; administrators see it read-only. To turn it on, the owner must first set up two-factor authentication for their own account in Personal settings. Members are not affected. When the setting turns on, each owner and administrator without an authenticator app or a passkey gets 7 days to set one up, and AgentStack emails them. Someone who later becomes an owner or administrator gets the same 7 days. Once their grace period has passed, their owner and administrator actions are refused with "Enrol 2FA to continue", and the dashboard shows a Set up 2FA panel in place of the organization pages. Their personal settings and the members list stay open. Turning the setting off and on again does not restart a grace period that has run out.
Ownership transfer and organization deletion are owner-only actions. Transfer requires another member and confirmation of the organization name. After the transfer, the prior owner becomes an administrator.
Organization deletion does all of the following:
- Needs exact-name confirmation.
- Cannot remove a user's only organization.
- Cancels Stripe billing.
- Removes all workspace data.
If Stripe does not cancel the subscription, AgentStack keeps the organization and its data, and the dashboard shows a Delete failed notice. Try the deletion again after a few minutes. A subscription that Stripe already cancelled does not block the deletion.
Before you start either irreversible action, export or keep the records you need.
